It is recommended to uninstall DAEMON Tools Lite using standard Windows control panel or automatic uninstallation. However if you want to uninstall manually use following steps.
DAEMON Tools v4 uses the SPTD (SCSI Pass Through Direct) driver by Duplex Secure. This driver is not uninstalled with DAEMON Tools Lite. For more information how to uninstall SPTD, please visit Duplex Secure.
Close DAEMON Tools Lite window (1), close gadget (2) and exit tray agent using right-click menu (3).
Open Task Manager (you can use Ctrl+Alt+Del keyboard combination). Right click on the 'DTShellHlp.exe' process and select 'End Process' from the context menu.
Confirm end process. Ensure no other DAEMON Tools processes are running.
Find DAEMON Tools Lite installation folder (1) on your PC. By default it is 'C:\Program files\DAEMON Tools Lite'. And delete it with all files (2).
Open Computer Management dialog: right-click on your computer (1) and select 'Manage' (2).
Click on 'Device Manager (1), then on 'System devices' (2), right-click on 'DAEMON Tools Virtual Bus' (3) and select 'Uninstall' (4).
Make sure 'Delete the driver' (1) checked and click 'OK' (2).
For DAEMON Tools version 4.06 and older: go to \System32\Drivers (usually located in C:\Windows) and delete 'dtscsi.sys' file.
Delete start menu folder (1,2) and desktop icon (3,4).
