Insert a media disc into CD/DVD-ROM drive.
Right click on DAEMON Tools Lite tray icon and choose Disc Imaging.
Choose a drive where the media disc is located using Device drop-down list.
Select preferred reading speed from Reading Speed list.
Pay attention that setting up maximum speed allows you to create image in less time. But if your disc is in "bad" condition (disc has bad sectors), setting up minimum reading speed may help you copy all data from the disc correctly.
In the Destination image file box specify the path where you wish to save image. You can type the path manually or use Windows Explorer. To open Explorer's window, click
button.
Using standard Windows functions, specify destination folder, filename and file type. There are two basic file types: *.mds and *.iso.
Click Save to save file.
Compress Image Data option is intended to compress data in result image file.
Delete Image on Failure option will delete image if it was created with errors.
Add to Image Catalog option will add your image to Image Catalog.
Protect Image With Password option allows you to protect image file from unauthorized usage.
If all preferences were set correctly, click Start to begin image creation.
Process Information window displays current operation, elapsed time, total progress in percentage and current operation progress in percentage.
