Since DAEMON Tools Lite 5, image mounting becomes easier and faster. Now you don’t need to create a virtual device before mounting. You just need to choose an image — and forget about the details.
By default, images are mounted to DT virtual device. Note that to mount some secured image files, you need SCSI virtual device. To emulate SCSI device, choose Mount to SCSI option from image's contextual menu in Images Catalog. Also, you can mount images by the following ways:
Click Quick Mount button and choose the needed image from your hard disk.
Locate an image on your hard disk and double-click it (you need to associate the certain type of image files in Preferences in order to work with DAEMON Tools Lite from Explorer).
Drag and drop image from Explorer to the section with virtual devices.
Double-click or drag and drop an image from Images Catalog to the section with virtual devices. Also, you can choose Mount to SCSI option from its contextual menu to mount an image to SCSI device or Mount option for DT device.
Choose an image from Images Catalog and click Mount icon on the toolbar.
Right-click the section with virtual devices and choose Quick Mount… option and then locate the needed image on your hard disk.
Also, you can mount images from DAEMON Tools Agent and Gadget.
